In the forex markets, trades are happening every second, when you buy that's when you buy that's when someone will sell and vice versa, it has over a trillion dollar market cap per day, in this article you'll find out what truly moves the market and why volatility exists in the forex market also.

Whenever a new session opens, especially London and New York, there will be volatility in the market and that is because smart money are either winding down their positions or they are making new positions, which equally means money are being pumped hence the volume and large movements.

If you're a momentum trader it's important to study these two sessions open to observe what happens and take advantage of such moves.

It should also be noted that, in silent sessions like Asian, there isn't much volatility or smart money are not in the market so there isn't much movement and volume you can trade off of.
