Why Your Website's Position on SERP Matters?

SERP is the short form of the Search Engine Result Page. SERP is the page that is displayed after you hit a search term on Google or any other search engine. Let say you search for “how to make money online” on Google, the first result is the number one position on the SERP, the second result is the second position on the SERP, and so on.

When you are trying to search for something on Google, you will probably click the top results. If your website ranks high on top position on SERP, you have a higher chance of getting clicks on your website.

Website ranking means ranking your website on the search engine result page for a particular keyword. Let say, “Make Money Online” is your primary keyword. If someone searches “Make Money Online” on Google and find your website on the 4th page or 35th position, that is the search engine result page rank for your website.

Search engine ranking is very important for driving traffic. If your website ranked on the first page or 5th position, you will receive more traffic compared to the 4th page ranking.

There are a lot of factors involved in ranking in the SERP. Some of the common factors are quality content, proper keyword usage, backlinks, etc.

The primary aim of SEO is to get a high position on SERP. If your website and website pages appear on the top positions when someone searches for your topic online, you are likely to get traffic from search engines. When you get traffic from search engines, it is not because someone has forced them to visit your website, it is because they think your website has the content they were actually searching for. Since people will voluntarily visit your website from search engine, they are likely to engage with your ads or products (*********, buy products)and you make money

There was a time when people could rank high on search engines even without any proper SEO because back then there was not much competition. Let you publish an article on herbal healing, this article might not even appear in the top 5 pages even though you might have done SEO. But if you had published this article 10 years ago, in 2011, your article could have appeared on the first page. It has been extremely difficult to rank high in the last 3-4 years because the topic satutation level is extremely high.

nowadays, I just think ranking on google is far more simple than people make it to be, a lot of people talk about, adding keywords to your article and all that stuff, it seems simple enough, but the way people complicate it this days it's just as if googles algorithm is some kind of evil genius, I think it's juts basic, write an article add keywords, inter link your other posts, add relevant images, add alt text to the images, share your blog posts to other sites so google can see you're serious and rinse and repeat, till google knows your name, just that simple
