What to do after receiving assistive tech replacement funding?

  • If your plan specifies a type of assistive technology, you must buy a matching replacement. This is called a 'stated support' in your plan. Most assistive technology won’t be listed as stated support.
  • If there isn’t a specific description, your replacement doesn’t need to be identical to your current one, as suppliers will have new models over time. An assistive technology assessor can help ensure the replacement has all the features you need to achieve your goals and is suitable for where you plan to use it.
