Documentation is highly needed in a business operations as you would always need to have an official evidence and records about the transaction that is going on in your business. Just like you keep account of different activities that goes on in your life for reference you would need same for your business.

What are the needs for documentation in your business

For record purpose: You are having your business activities on paper for future reference. Whenever an issue arises in future you can look into your records to remember the transaction.

As evidence of transaction: If you have creditors in your business, you would be able to recall how much your company are owing outsiders or your suppliers. Same with your debtor's. Apart from the invoice they might have, you have on your book the whole information about their transaction and every transaction can be sorted amicably.

The true position of the business: You can see the true financial position of your business via your documented information. You would be able to know if your business is progressing or not. You would be able to see your cash flow clearly which would be both your debtors and your creditors
