A military career is for stability and good reputation

Many high school students aspire for a military career. It is not much for the salary but being a military officer can give you good connections not only in the government but also in the industry of business. One police captain was hired as a security director of a big commercial bank. That position is in the level of a vice president with a salary of at least $5,000 which is big money in our currency.

However, entering a military school is not easy with the very hard entrance exam. Thousands would take it but only less than a hundred would be admitted. After 4 years the graduates will earn a rank of 2nd lieutenant which would make him an officer in the armed forces. The mere fact of admission in the school and graduating is already a huge achievement for the young graduates.

In our country situation is different, since the Narendra Modi becomes Prime Minister of India, he did not hesitate to make military a proper one. Salary of Armed forces is much higher, and even One Rank One Pension scheme, which is very high. If someone become disabled during duty, he/she will get lifetime pension, even if period of service is less than 10 years.​

This is almost same in my country unlike other military schools, the army is a more prestige military. Having your career here stands you out, this is why they go through a lot rigorous training which is both physically and mentally. At the end of the day they come out and make good money from the career

Wow, that is a nice package for the soldiers in India. Even if our military personnel were given salary increases some 5 years ago they are still in need of more increases to boos their morale. But the benefit of a cop or soldier does not stop in their organization. They can reach out to politicians and even get some discounts in transportation and in stores too.

These discounts are available in India as well.Hopitals, Canteens for armed forces are already there. Hospitals treat for free, any extra cost due to third party's required involvement is provided with discount. Canteens provide discounted products, airlines (including private) also provide them discount.
But I have seen in many public transports family members of armed forces are charged more by corrupt transport officials, and nothing happens to them.

It's true that military is a noble profession. Reverse is the case in my country. People do not want military job because of the high level of insurgency and terrorism In my country. Ofcourse, the military suffers the brunt of the insurgency, coupled with the less matched harms the military handled. No one wants to face the terrorist group named BOKOHARAM.

The military is a good career option. You can earn a stable income, you earn reputation, you get retirement benefits. In my home country, the military personals can also participate in United Nations Peace Keeping Mission, where the participants have an opportunity to earn a really big amount (they will be paid in USD)
