Christophe de Bequelaer, a leading member of the Democratic Center (CDH) in the Belgian parliament, receives a salary in bitcoin through the popular European crypto platform Bit4You.

He explained that he was prompted to take this step by the actions of the mayor of New York to introduce payments in bitcoin. He commented on his decision with the following words:
