Banana needs no introduction at all! But then though this is a household name and every one of us consume this, most of us hardly know some interesting details about this fruit! I am trying to get some interesting facts about this fruit point wise as follows:

1. Banana is rich in Vitamins k, B6, and C. It is also rich in the following minerals like Potassium, Magnesium, Manganese, and Copper. This fruit is rich in carbohydrates, fiber, protein, fats (small quantities).

2. The Bananas are helpful in maintaining the gut-friendly bacteria, especially the pectin is good for colon bacteria.

3. Because of bulk they are helpful in cutting down the body weight.

4. Because of rich in Magnesium and Potassium they maintain the blood pressure and it helps in maintaining the heart health.

5. Bananas are rich in antioxidants. The dopamine and Catachins are mood elevators.

6. The raw bananas or unripe bananas are rich in resistant starch and helps in increasing the insulin sensitivity in the Diabetic patients.

7. They are good for Kidney health as they have potassium in abundant quantities.

8. They are used as good instant food by the athletes as they have mineral content and easily digested carbohydrates.

9. It is helpful for the people who have muscle cramps and sores after the exercise.

10. The unripe banana is used as a vegetable, along with its flower in many Asian countries.
