Bad Working Environment

Bad working environments are more prevalent than you might think. They can be created by a combination of factors, including:

Unhappy people. People who are unhappy at work often have a negative impact on their colleagues, making it harder for them to do their job effectively. This can lead to an unproductive, or even toxic, environment.

Lack of leadership and support. Employees need clear direction from their managers and coworkers in order to feel supported and comfortable at work. If these resources are lacking, it becomes too easy for employees to feel like they don't belong at their job.

Poor management practices and processes. Toxic working environments often result from poor management practices that allow employees to get away with things that would not be tolerated in a healthy workplace environment. For example, if an employee is stealing from the company or lying about something important, this behavior will likely be overlooked if they are seen as part of the family by other team members who want to keep up appearances — even if they know what's going on behind closed doors!
