This keeps happening in all corporates. People are hired for some sort of work duties. But later it might be discovered that the person has skills and aptitude that might be suitable for another job role within the organisation. He will be more effective and productive there. In such cases, they take the employee into talk and reassign them a different role. When the person is in a job role that makes best use of his skills and interests, not only the productivity increases resulting in more benefits but also the work satisfaction increases. And with work satisfaction comes a better mental and emotional health if the employee. Sometimes people join thinking that they have landed in a job of their choice and will enjoy it. But soon they find themselves a misfit there but feel that they can be better utilised in some other job in the same organisation. They can always approach the higher management and the Human resources department to talk about the same.
It's a common practice in many corporates and organisations. People also keep upgrading themselves with skills and training. They also keep exploring their areas of interest and strength with their experience in the organisation.
