A lot of people plan to start a business when they retire, but the pension they receive is barely enough to cover their needs and leave enough money to use as capital. This means they may need to look for business ideas that they can start with small sums of money.

It's important to consider that at this age, you don't have the strength or time to go for ideas that are intensive. What is important is to get something that can give you regular income with as little stress as possible.

One of such business ideas is agriculture. You can easily get a small piece of land, or practice modern agricultural practices like sack farming or aquaphonics. The returns is good and it's not capital or labour intensive.

Another option is to work on forums like this, or you use have any skill that can be leveraged online. This means you can work leisurely from a comfortable location.

If you have a passion for crafts, exploring it is one way to make money easily. You are not in a haste to make money, and Yiu have the ability to relax and create masterpiece works people will pay for.

Agriculture can be a really good business for all people not just for pensioners. In fact, agriculture is a recession-proof business. Agriculture also gives a good return on investment, you can recover your investment within a year of starting your agriculture business. However, the major problem with the agriculture business is you need to invest a lot of money. You need money to buy farmland, if you cannot buy farmland, you need to rent farmlands, if you want to do soilless farming, you will need to invest in the technologies like hydroponic, aeroponics., aquaponics, etc. You also need knowledge and skills on how to do agriculture. I think a better business model for pensioners with low capital can be a food business or selling agriculture produce in the farmers' market. You need little investment and you do not need a lot of skills, you can even single-handedly manage these businesses.

Retirement does not entirely mean that an individual shouldn't Cater for his or her needs anymore, most retired individuals are pensioners and sometimes majority of them usually contain plate about what ways they could be able to use their pension money in providing the comfort and the satisfaction the possibly need. As a pensioner you can use your pension money to establish a grocery store business or even a foodstuff shop, these exactly are two of the most striving business presently today. Establishing a supermarket can also be added to the list. For services rendering business you can try establishing a barbing salon and even if you are not the one to dress your customers hair, employee workers can totally suffice the matter.

Many individuals waste their pension money on vacation and other kind of entertainment thrills. But it can't be wise for you to use your pension money for investment so as to make more money. You can also invest your pension money online possibly on any legit investment platform so as to make more money as well.

Retirement is not the end of work activities, besides spending free time, they will also make money.
If retirees are going to start a business, they should prefer a job they enjoy, such as caring for bonsai plants, painting, and don't forget to keep investing to get passive income. There are many types of businesses that retirees can choose from, such as photocopying businesses, franchise businesses, renting houses, cars or other goods, cafe businesses, becoming online writers, etc.

If you're an older person and have a pension, you might be feeling like your options for starting a business are limited. I put together this list of best business ideas for pensioners with low capital!

1. Online Retail

This is a good way to make extra money from home. You can sell anything on the internet and start your own e-commerce store with minimal startup costs. The only downside is that it can be difficult to get customers if you don't have much experience selling online.

2. Home Services

If you've got access to space in your home or apartment that you don't need very often (like an extra room), consider offering home services like cleaning or pet sitting as another source of income! You'll need some sort of system to track sales so that you know how much money you're making each month, but if you're confident that people are willing to pay for those services, then this could be a great way to make money without having any upfront costs or equipment needed at all!

I doubt working on forums like this is a good business idea for pensioners. Most pensioners are old people and they rarely have the strength to type. Most of them rarely make use of their smart phones except for the purpose of making calls.
Agriculture is a good type of business idea for pensioners. It requires low amount of capital to start up and it is very broad. One can decide to go into livestock farming or crop farming or even both. It is also very lucrative since everyone needs food in other to survive. Pensioners can employ workers since they might not be able to carry out tedious activities that comes with agriculture since they most of them are old.
