Binance, in partnership with British digital payments platform Contis, has launched a new Refugee Crypto Card for Ukrainian refugees.
The benefit of this card will be available to all Ukrainian refugees who are taking refuge in European Economic Area (EEA) countries. There are 30 European countries which comes into EEA (interestingly Ukraine is not a member of EEA).
Applicants for this card are required to get verified by the local non-profit organizations to prevent any misuse by scammers.
The card will allow displaced Ukrainians to make or receive crypto payments. The Contis platform accepts payments with this card in the EEA, and accredits vendors that accept this card.
Refugees will also receive 75 BUSD stablecoin from Binance for three months.
This step is going to benefit both Contis and BInance. Ukranian refugees have to join Binance platform to take advantage of this donation; also NGOs of EEA will promote both Contis and BInance in local market for helping the refugees.
