Business Etiquette that could boost business growth

A lot of Business owners usually neglect Business Etiquette in their organization which could have an adverse effect on the growth of their business. There is a famous saying “ Never mix business with pleasure”. A lot of business owners especially those in third world countries like Nigeria do not seem to apply business etiquette in their daily dealings. Business Etiquette are set of rules and guidelines that directs/govern the way business owners interact with employees, customers, clients etc in a business setting. It basically involves two things which are;
• Thoughtful interest in the feelings of others.
• Being able to sort out misunderstandings without escalation.
There are some business etiquette business owners and employees should apply in a business setting. They include;

1. Saying Please, Thank you and Sorry.
2. Listening more than you speak.
3. Do not talk loudly on phone when in public.
4. Make sure phone is switched off at business dinner.
5. Maintaining a level of decorum.

The point #5 decorum covers everything about the right attitude and inter-personal relationship not only with the customer but also with the co-workers. Having good manners and right conduct is a must for every worker whether you are a white collar job worker or a blue collar job worker. Friction can be avoided if all the workers observe the decorum in the workplace

Yeah the first one is never mix business with pleasure as this have ruined so many business and the other is that let people as in your associates know you for your principles. You must not get cowed down at any little instance... In meetings always make sure you input reasonable suggestions... Don't pick calls that pertains your family in your business meeting and never allow your family to be indebted to any of your associates.

Also always try your best to serve your customer well this will go a long way as it will prompt your customer to say good about your services and it will also help your business to grow. You should always listen to your customer no matter how low their standard is.

This are very good business tips, good business etiquette is very good for a business, it improves the ways a business owner is perceived both by customers and so by employees alike, the first point is so much on point, those word might seems common but they are very effective, it makes people see a business owner as a person willing to serve, which helps to improve the perspective of your customers about your services.
