Business lesson we can learn from the fall of Nokia.

When I started knowing about phones, if a phone is not branded Nokia, it sure ain't worth it. The Finnish company, Nokia was the definition of what dominating a market should be. They had a global market share of 50%. In Africa, they had a whopping 90% market share. But today, they have fallen down the cliff and into irrelevance in the market.

What happened to Nokia? How can we learn from Nokia's plight as business people? The simple reason Nokia fell apart was that they refused to innovate. . It is not as if Nokia did not have the hardware and software to match the Apple iPhone toe to toe, they found it hard to Dutch their Symbian OS. Android has always been free but they refused to jump on the google train because of their Symbian OS. They should have found a way to innovate and join the Android bandwagon.

The lesson for businessmen? We should be innovative and pragmatic in business.
