Can social media marketing be used as the only marketing strategy?

With more people coming online daily, businesses have taken to using a lot of social media marketing strategies.

It sure has its advantages as well as disadvantages, but is it sustainable in the long run?

I ask this because there are companies that hardly have adverts online. Exclusive car manufactures, those that produce high class wines and jewelry, and some designers that produce items for select clients never run ads.

Some of them promote offline, but not on social media. The class of entrepreneurs who use this are the small scale and medium scale business owners, with many of them relying on it alone.

What would happen to their business if something happens to the internet. Is it sustainable to use just that, or to combine it with offline marketing strategies?

There is no wisdom in relying on a single method of marketing at all . A business owner who really knows what he or she is doing will definitely try as much as possible to go both ways of marketing , that is the online and offline available opportunities .
We just have to try as much as possible that we see which one is working the most , and then focus more on that one and not rely on the other .

Considering your fears about what may happen to the internet in the future , I do not think that a business owner really has any business to do with that at all since they are only targeted at what they will gain at the moment .
If anything bad ever gets to happen to the internet , people will definitely come up with other alternatives that they can use to make as much money as possible while adopting the right marketing strategies .

At the moment , a lot of businesses have shown that social media marketing is the best way out . And this is why we are getting to see is getting adopted every now and then by different businesses.

Online marketing has become so popular now days and even research has shown that businesses to that have an online presence will survive more in this generation. Having an online presence means doing most of your advertisement online and having a website for your business. Of which social media platforms have given business people a great advertisement option.

Therefore, a business person in this era should do his or her best to advertise online through social media sites. It is a great method because it gives you great organic traffic. Unlike having to pay fkr traffic hence get ones that are not really interested in what you are promoting.

That being said, it is important for one not to just rely on social media platforms alone for advertisement. Don't forget to do your advertisement offline too. This is because offline advertisement will help you attract most local customers who are not active online. Moreover, you will still have advertisement even you are facing internet problems.

Probably you can use different social media platforms only to promote your business effectively and probably get a lot of people because of the huge number of people that use different social media platforms on daily basis.

Even though, I would not advise anyone to depend on one source of traffic for their businesses but to your question it is quite very possible to use only social media platforms to do so. All you need to do is to be very strategic in your dealings and probably on the long run you will profit a lot.

If you do not have money to start promoting your product on social media platforms then opening a page is probably your best bet and trying as much as possible to grow it to a reasonable extent. If you go to Facebook for example there is a tendency that you would probably get a lot of people to follow your channel and when this has been done you can successfully promote your business.

Many people have used this strategy to actually succeed in their various businesses. I have seen someone who depends on Twitter on daily basis to market a product and of course she has really been successful.
