In this century, women can be found in virtually every field imaginable and they still succeed or even outshine their male counterparts. But the stereotype still remains and seeing some women in some niches is odd and some people will never accept it.

Real estate seems to be a niche that is dominated by men, and seeing women actively involved in it especially in my part of the world is rare. Even if they have property of their own, it's usually managed by a man and the woman only takes a passive part of running it.

Is it that women are not able to effectively run a real estate business, or is it just they are not interested due to the stereotype?

It is often said that real estate is a man’s world. Men are more likely to become brokers, agents and develop real estate businesses. And it’s true that there are fewer women in commercial real estate.

But no matter what market you’re in, women are a growing presence in the industry.

There are some challenges that women face in the business, but these can be overcome by knowing your market, building relationships and being confident in your skills.

Women do bring some advantages to the table as well: they tend to be better at building relationships, working with people and communicating.

Women are more empathetic: Women have been found to be more empathetic than men, which means they can better relate to clients' experiences and feelings about buying or selling their homes.

Women are better negotiators: Women have been found to be better negotiators than men. They are able to understand what each party wants from a deal and work toward an acceptable outcome for both parties involved.
They also have the ability to multi-task and tend to be more detail-oriented than men. So while there may not be as many women in commercial real estate, it doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t succeed.

Real estate business is a profitable venture that any individual can decide to go into it whenever they want to.

There is actually no point in considering women has not been as effective as men would be when it comes to handling The affairs related to real estate business .

As a matter of fact , we have a lot of women around the world who are engaged in the real estate business and they're making a lot of profit from it because of vast experience they have .

All it takes is for any individual to give in the necessary effort that is expected of them and they will be able to make as much profit as possible in real estate business, whether or not they are men.

The world has actually gone past the stage whereby we have specific businesses that are usually considered as being for males or some others for females .
These days , an individual can go into any business and become successful provided they follow the principles that are expected of them for that business .

It is only people who are ignorant that will think that it is impossible to make a significant impact in real estate business, simply because they are women .

Though i believe women are best suited to be involved in real estate business , because are more emphatic , they have their ways of convincing a client and getting a contract sealed and done faster than men .I mean they negotiate better than men , And no matter the situation and problem they might be facing , it always hard for them to sell off their properties because they cherished it like their babies.
Secondly women can be involved in real estate business because they don't joke with their money and that's why they are always strict when its time for business ,.
Though real estate business are dominated by men but women nowadays are also trying to make name an in real estate business because they have the experience and the zeal , they are ruthless and doesn't take nonsense when you are owing them money and they know the right channel to get their money.

What kind of silly question is this? Women can be involved in any kind of profession they want to be provided they have the skills and knowledge to do it. Women are working in NASA, women are running the governments in many countries, women running big businesses, and women are even in the army and police, which once was considered only man's job. It is true that women are still not on equal footing with men and in many professions, women are yet not in the leading positions, however, this does not mean women are inferior to men. As far as women getting involved in the real estate profession, this is not a job reserved only for men, in fact, no job is reserved for any gender. Women can be in the real estate market. I believe women can even become better real estate agents or brokers because they have persuasive power.

In some countries the percentage of women who are financially independent is very low, due to social factors, government policy so they cannot take decisions on purchasing or renting houses, which require a large amount of money . Women professionals lack the support system, someone to look after the household work. Many people have said that often contractors will charge a higher amount from women for the same work, so they ask their male relatives to handle the work. Women are also not very comfortable dealing with contractors, laborers for home renovation or construction.

I think women are doing well now in different area of life, it isn't about the gender any longer. I like the way we have balanced out equality now when it comes to gender roles. There's no one trying to be hindered any longer because of one's gender.

So this might have happened in the past where women were not allowed to owned property let alone trade them. Now women own properties and can trade them off when they want to.

But looking at it critically, women were always limited or efforts thwarted by their partners all because they are women. This is why it looked that women didn't have the skill or experience to run their careers in the real industry but all that have changed. Women have the opportunity now to get into any industry and do exploit. All they need now is just to have passion to be in the industry.

Can women be involved in real estate business? Absolutely. It has been the fastest growing segment of the U.S. economy for the past ten years and is worth an estimated 400 billion dollars a year today, with projections to grow another 50% by 2020 according to Fortune Magazine

This information might come as a surprise to many who didn't know that there are companies out there specifically for women who want to invest in this industry, such as Plum Street and Heights Real Estate - just two examples of women-only investment groups on Wall Street worth billions and millions respectively of dollars.

Even though they can make real estate investments, women do not necessarily always become successful real estate brokers, which is why it is not so easy to find a successful woman in the business. Male and female real estate professionals have their own reasons why they chose this industry and frequently face different challenges, although both are equally important.

If you've only ever seen TV shows like "The Property Ladder" or "Property Wars", you might think this industry is all about men rushing around negotiating millions in property deals, but on closer inspection of both the statistics and news headlines about the failures of some very high-profile names in property investment, it would appear that there's a dark underbelly to this multi-billion dollar business.

I have seen women who are experts in real estates. There is no specific job out there ment for men alone or women. Personally I believe women can do anything as long as they put their minds to it. As a woman, if you feel you are more than capable to take up the challenge, then go for it. does who still classify certain jobs as jobs ment for women alone or the opposite gender still have a lot to learn.

I do not totally agree that the real estate investment is solely for the male. The female counterpart can also involve themselves in the real estate business because it is all about making money and anything that has to do with money making is not only for one sex, because we all need money. The only thing that I noticed is that the female counterpart tend to run away from businesses that are harder and they tend to push it towards the males to execute and that is the major reason why the real estate business is dominated by the males.

In actual fact, if you look at the risk involved in real estate investment, you will agree with me that it is a very risky venture, most especially if you're living in the third world country like Nigeria where land dispute is very paramount and as such women would not want to involve themselves in such investment. The only major reason why the female tend to run away from real estate investment is because they see it as an investment that is too rigorous for them to execute, but a very few of them will have the courage to venture into it.
