This is the commonest Benign tumor init is common in Nigeria and in general very common among black women what cause fibroid is not yet known but some factors such as genetic race nuliparity and infertility are associated with it.it occurs mostly in the body of uterus but may also occur in the cervix or even the blood ligament the fibroid maybe symptomless in the body but the clinical features are abdominal pain menorrhagia irregular bleeding and dysmenorrhea it can also be pressure symptoms because its presence on the urinary bladder to cause frequency or retention of places on the rectum to cause constipation and lastly it causes infertility if fibroid is at tubo ovation junction.the investigation done now to diagnose fibroid is ultrasound scan fibroid can reduce in size especially in postmenopausal women there are many complications of this by blood it can undergo torsion especially the pending Kool-Aid type and it also causes bleeding infection and it can be become countries and its can undergo degeneration because if a pregnant woman has a well-developed fibroid surgery is never done until after delivery to avoid several bleeding fibroid that is symptom-free it may be good to leave it alone.
