Usually only companies who are profitable are able to declare dividends regularly. Most stock investors wish to purchase shares whose value will increase over time, and the dividend history of a company is an indication of how profitable the business is. Before investing in a company do you check the dividend history of the company, for how many years the company has declared dividends? If not, what are the factors which you consider before investing in shares of a specific company? Is it worth investing in shares of the company declaring dividends if the share price is very high?

It's wise to evaluate a company's profitability and stability by looking at its dividend history before making an investment. But it's also important to take into account other aspects, such the management team, industry position, development potential, and financial stability of the business. Even if a firm's share price is high, investing in its shares can still be worthwhile because it shows that the company is strong financially and is dedicated to repaying its shareholders.
