If you are working on freelancing sites, you will have to provide information like your name, address, education qualification, places you have worked, your real photo, link to your personal social pages, etc. Sharing information is considered must as it will increase your chances of getting hired. However, there are also sites where you don't have to give any personal info, not even your real name. Just share your work portfolio. People hire you for what you do, not just who you are, so your work experience matters more than your personal details. However, sharing your real identity helps convince clients to hire you.
