Examining the effectiveness of penalties on serious work infractions

In any organization, it is of utmost importance that employees adhere to the set of standards and regulations that have been put in place to ensure the safety of everyone and the quality of the work product. When an employee breaches these standards, it is necessary for the organization to take appropriate action. This could mean anything from a verbal warning to termination.

One question that often arises is what should be the severity of the punishment for a serious infraction. Some people believe that harsher penalties are needed in order to deter employees from breaking the rules, while others feel that more lenient punishments are more effective in achieving compliance.

When an employee commits a serious work infraction, such as drinking on the job, sexual harassment, or violence in the workplace, is it more effective to penalize the employee through disciplinary action or termination? This is a question that has been debated for many years, with no clear consensus. Some people argue that termination is the only way to ensure that the behavior will not be repeated, while others believe that disciplinary action is a more effective deterrent.

Well, for me I think there should always be punishment in place for bad behavior whether it will be very harsh or not. The problem humans has is that we don't want to adhere to instructions it isn't that people don't know but humans are just disobedience right from the beginning so it needs a stiff law for people to be conscious of this fact.

I know there are some rules that might or seems very harsh for some of offences but this is all in a bids to stem out such misbehavior. So anything that will help to stem out such should be adopted.

Okay look at the issue of sexual molestation. Who doesn't know that this is a crime against humanity trying to use another as your s3xyal object . This kind of offences is wrong on all fronts in a place of work, why would you even think of something sexual here let alone a criminal one like sexual harassment. This kind of person should just be sacked at once, but only when it is ascertained that the person is actually guilty. This same punishment should also go for stealing because this person want to run down the company. So harsher punishment should go for very bad behavior.
