Here are some steps you can follow to make a budget.
Knowing your spendings for a week or maybe a month, keeping a record of all the money you spend, including small purchases as well as big ones. You can use a notebook to write them down accordingly.

Arranging your spending into different categories, such as housing, food, transportation, entertainment,child care and general spendings.

You have to get spending limit so you can manage your money well without getting broke and you can do this by checking your past spending and your income, then decide on a the amount you can afford to spend in each month so you can manage your finances well.
If you find out that you've spend too much in any point in time, you may need to adjust your spending limit or find ways to minimize your expenses.

Keeping record of your spending from time to time and compare it to your budget each week or month to see how you're doing whether your progressing or lacking behind and in these process you have to check your budget and know how far you have gone with the budget regularly and as your life changes, so will your spending also change and do well to make adjustments when necessary

The main goal of budgeting is to give you control and to be in charge of your money, so be flexible and honest with your through the process.Budgeting will help you reach your financial goals and you can also discipline yourself
