Goals are important, but the NDIS can't fund all associated costs. Their support aims to maximize independence by overcoming disability-specific barriers. However, not all aspirations may receive support due to NDIS criteria.

More information to consider when you're setting your goals:

• Setting more or bigger goals doesn't mean the NDIS will provide more funding or support.
• Setting a goal doesn’t mean the NDIS has an obligation to fund supports that help pursue that goal.
• Setting a goal regarding a specific type or amount of support doesn't mean the NDIS is obligated to fund it or provide that level of funding.
