Sometimes a business or commercial Enterprises do encounter a huge amount of responsibilities and activities in which it has, and must to execute especially if the execution of such responsibilities and activities is time-constrained. In situations like this, the employees and workers to such business organisation will have to extend the time interval in which they closes from work, in other to make sure that these responsibilities and activities facing the business organisation can be successful and adequately achieved or accomplished as expected and planned. The shift of closing time by employees and workers explain in the scenario above, could be termed and described as job shift. Most times employees job shifting comes at the right time but also it can come at the wrong time when a particular employee doesn't need it. To be more elaborate and clear, a particular employee may not be making much money and income from his or her monthly or weekly salary and wages in which he or she gets to be paid as a worker or employee in a particular business organisation and so such employee may definitely be in need and grateful when a notice of job shift is assigned to him or her.

On the other hand a particular organisational employee may have to temporarily close early from his workplace, so as to go home and take care of his pregnant wife who is just less than 1 months to labour, therefore given such an employee a notice of job shift can totally be a wrong idea because his or her time and personal responsibilities won't permit.

What @Jasz said is true, when it comes to such inconvenience, you should endeavor to ask questions, meet your employers and ask them certain questions based on your new role or shift. Their is no way the Management will make a decision without seeking opinion from employees in areas that concerns the company's welfare. Where I'll feel bad is when the company takes such kind of decision too personal and doesn't communicate until the shift is made of change of role. Every action should be communicated for everyone that works for the company when it matters to everyone in the organization.

If you are being issued a job shift by your employer or manager it is totally good to react in such a way that shows that you acknowledge the privilege in which your manager or employer has towards you by first of all accepting the fact that he or she loves the good work and industrious attitude you shows in making sure that organisational goals and objectives are achieved as expected and explain and due to the reason of these he or she has given you a job shift to work more in order to earn more. No doubt a job shift can be issued to an employee when he or she is totally inconvenient to accept such for example a scenario where he or she has to take care of a sick relative at home and so because of this he or she can't stay at work to work overtime.

Explaining to your manager and employee on the reasons why you do not meet the job shift or why the job shift can hinder order human-related priorities in your lives can totally be the best reaction.
