The best thing to do while marketing our businesses beyond our shores is that we need to educate the people that we are marketing it too. But most time to save ourselves from the stress, we should only aim at those that need our services. It is be a little bit tankful for a Nigerin to be marketing okro soup, a type of dish in Nigeria, to the white. It may be ridiculous. So, ensuring that whatever you are promoting is of a great value is very much important. Like you have stated it is not advisable for you to make false claims about your product because when people find out that you are lying about the product they will definitely not patronize you again.

Being a man of integrity in business is very much important because it will make your customers to trust you on the long run. Before you take your business to the international market you must make sure that you have conquered the local market. You also need to make sure that you have the needed capital to do your adverts.

To be frank, it is easy to advertise the local products in the international market. All you need is a good poster or article and you post it in social media or in websites that are related to your business. There are also groups that you may join to promote your business. However, the issue for international recognition of local products is not easy. First, you need to have a foreign buyer, at least one, to show the world that your product is being patronized abroad.

China have been doing the advertising for their local customers but their products are being bought by international buyers. The main reason is the price of their products are very cheap compared to other foreign products. Although the quality is in question but you cannot argue that a wireless keyboard costing $5 is very cheap and worth a try. My keyboard is already 10 years old and it is still working... bought for $5 made in China.
