Yes, of course On-Page SEO is as important for a website as Off-Page SEO is. I recently released that internal linking plays a major role in optimization. For my WordPress sites, I use YOAST plugin. This provides automatic On-Page optimization and makes the process very easy. One can also learn many things while using this plugin.

You're absolutely right! On-page SEO is indeed more than just adding keywords to your content. While keywords are crucial for signaling the relevance of your content to search engines, there are several other aspects of on-page SEO that play a significant role in optimizing your website for search engines. Here are some key elements:

  1. URL Structure: Including relevant keywords in your URL can help search engines understand the context of your page. A clear and descriptive URL is also more user-friendly.
  2. Title Tags: Title tags are one of the most important on-page SEO elements. They should include your target keywords and accurately describe the content of the page.
  3. Meta Descriptions: While meta descriptions don't directly impact rankings, they can affect click-through rates. A well-crafted meta description that includes relevant keywords can entice users to click on your link in the search results.
  4. Header Tags: Proper use of header tags (H1, H2, H3, etc.) helps search engines understand the structure and hierarchy of your content. Include keywords in your headers where relevant.
  5. Internal Linking: Linking to other relevant pages on your website helps search engines navigate and index your site. It also helps users discover more of your content.
  6. Image Optimization: Optimizing your images with descriptive filenames and alt text not only improves accessibility but also provides another opportunity to include relevant keywords.
  7. Mobile Friendliness: With the increasing use of mobile devices, having a mobile-friendly website is crucial for both user experience and SEO.
  8. Page Speed: Faster-loading pages tend to rank better in search results. Optimizing images, minimizing code, and leveraging browser caching can help improve your page speed.
  9. User Experience: A well-designed website that is easy to navigate and provides valuable content is more likely to rank well in search results.
  10. Schema Markup: Adding schema markup to your pages can help search engines understand the content better and can lead to rich snippets in the search results.
In conclusion, while keywords are an important part of on-page SEO, optimizing these other elements can also have a significant impact on your website's visibility in search engine results pages.
