Italki is an online marketplace that allows you to teach languages online. The site is like a mix of UpWork and Fiverr and uses a similar model to both of those websites: it has an escrow system that ensures both teachers and students are paid, and it charges a small fee on top of the cost of hiring someone. If you want to start teaching on italki, here's how:
Sign up for an account at italki.com. You can sign up for free, but if you want to be able to charge for your lessons and keep 100% of the money you earn from them (instead of splitting it with italki), then you'll need a Pro account which costs $12/month or $120/year. Be aware that if you cancel your Pro membership within 30 days of signing up, there will be no refund given!
Create a profile page that describes what languages you speak, where you're from, what kind of students would benefit from taking lessons with you etc. Your profile page should include links to any social media accounts that show examples of your work (if applicable).List the prices for one-on-one lessons in various languages.
