How to Make Your First YouTube Video

This is mini-tutorial is for those who have never started a youtube channel but have a desire to become a big star on youtube.

Step 1: What You Need

Equipment: You need a camera, you can start with a proper camera or just with your phone. My recommendation, if you do not have a proper camera, use your own phone. But make sure to invest in a tripod because your video footage should not be shaky. You also need a microphone.

Subject and scene: You need something to film, for example, you can be your subject. You also need a location, a studio, if you are creating video indoors or an outdoor location. Your scene needs to be well lit, if natural light is not enough, you need lamps.

Step 2: How to Do

Plan: You need a script. Your script should include narration as well as detailed scenes.

Film: Start filming, you can talk to the camera, shoot people or actions, etc.

Step 3: Finalizing

Editing: Remove unwanted scenes and background noise, ad background scores, start and end credits, etc.

When it comes to equipment, you need to start with what you have. You can gradually buy high end devices for video making. You sure have a mobile phone, you can shoot your video on your mobile phone. Even for video editing software, you don't need premium software like Adobe Premiere, you can start with a free software like Kinemaster. Well, the free version will give you watermarks on your videos, but that does not matter because people do not care about watermarks, they care about content quality. If you are just starting out, you need to give more importance on video content (subject or topic). If you have worked on developing idea and script based on the idea, you will then have to focus on audio and visual quality of your video. Video length is very important, if you are new, make sure to produce medium length videos instead of very long videos.
