When it comes to doing SEO on websites, a lot of people make one big mistake that is they do not do SEO on the images they upload to their website. SEO on your images is as important as SEO on your article.

Here are 7 steps to do SEO on your images

Name your image properly: Do not upload an image with the name IMG0929.jpg. Give it a proper name. Use a name that matches the topic of your content

Resize: Resize images to match their proper dimension.

Reduce file size: Do not upload images to their original size, reduce the image size.

Create image sitemap: Your images should display with a proper url, including the images you import via url

Host your image on CND: Instead of hosting through your own website, host the images through a third-party site so that your website loads faster.

Implement lazy loading: Lazy loading refers to the loading of images only when needed.

Browser caching: Browser caching means files of the websites are stored on visitors’ browsers. This allows the website to load faster when the visitor visits the website next time.
