The pandemic is still not over. This forces us to stay at home and reduce socialization with the outside world. In some cases, feelings of loneliness, anxiety, irritability and depression are very likely to occur due to being at home too long.

However, there are things you can do to keep mentally healthy. Limit use of the social media and news. Keeping up with the latest news is important, but continuing to read bad news every day is very ineffective in calming negative thoughts.

Both reliable news and rumors can have negative impact on mental health. Limit reading news about the pandemic for hours. And limit the use of technology, considering that sometimes we need to avoid cyberspace and find activities that make us happy.
 
I can understand what you mean by this and I think it has to do with depressing news If the news one encounter is mostly negative then it can have negative impact on the mind. This is why it is of.esaence to always protect one's sanity by staying away from information that will not excite it it has a way of.affrcting the mental well being of the person
