Mentor basically is like a coach, possibly someone that have been through what you're currently going through, in forex trading, mentors have a lot of bad rep, I use to be suspect mentors too, I thought if they are truly making money in forex then why are they collecting money to teach others.
You can fast track your journey by getting a mentor, in a tough game like trading a mentor will help you get to your goal easily and faster, but there's a clause, you'll have to do your due diligence before committing to any sort of mentorship to avoid being scammed.
You can ask for a trading records and also a trading explorer and see if they're worth it, if they can't produce a track record then they're mostly charlatans and you shouldn't waste time on them, you can go on trustpilot and explore people's opinion on your mentor before subscribing.
