Carbohydrate consists of carbon and hydrogen and oxygen in the same proportion as in water, that is two hydrogen to one oxygen, carbohydrates supply heat and energy for the body.
Carbohydrates are classified into three types, such as monosaccharide disaccharide and polysaccharide.
Carbohydrates are the nutrients that provide the body with energy and eat.
The energy is required in the body for the maintenance of internal body activities.
The circulation of blood, breathing, digestions, beating of the heart and the maintenance of body temperature.

Energy requirements varies according to ages,sex, occupation and size of person.
Carbohydrate is stored as body fats, when supply quantity is eaten.
the main value of cellulose to man is that it provides roughage which assist digestion and prevent constipation, otherwise it has no nutritive value to man.
The consumption of carbohydrate in human body is very vital and also too much of carbohydrate can cause diabetes.
Therefore we should quantify the amount or quantity of the carbohydrate you need to consume daily, in order to avoid too much level of sugar in the bloodstream.
