Is it right to sell off gift items for money?

Humans value gifts so much and they often have a soft spot for people that give them gifts. The giver and the gifts are treasured because it takes a special kind of heart to be able to give an individual something.

Supposing a person is stuck financially, is it logically and morally right for the person to sell out some of the gift items available at his/ her disposal. Does it translate to lack of value to that person? I believe that an individual should make use of anything at his/ her disposal to save himself/ herself from financial issues without recourse if that item was a gift or not.

Sometimes you have more quantities if that item than you need to use at a particular time? I believe it is best to sell it off. It would be taking space in your home. I would dispose them at a giveaway price.
