It's a capital yes, online money making is very risky. If you have to ask people how much they have lose trying to make money online, a whole blackboard will full, lol.
So many people around the world still don't believe in online money making. Why? Because most of the sites that they choose to engage themselves in are scam site, in this way making it very difficult for them to believe that online earning is real.
Talking about my own, I have lost a huge amount of money trying to make money online. There is this particular site called AfricGold, I worked hard everyday on that particular platform but at last what did i get, nothing.
I also invested $80 in a pool mining farm, claiming to pay me back $200 after my task is completed. I completed the task but i didn't get my rewards back.
So online money making is risky and not for the faint hearted
