Influencer marketing is a huge industry. The evolution and popularity of social media platforms have pushed this industry to a higher level. Technically speaking, it has made it possible for every Tom, Dick, and Harry to make money. However, practically speaking it not might not be very easy, especially for common people.
If you look into the top 10 or even the top 20 most followed people on Facebook, you will either see big companies (Facebook is at number one and Samsung is at number 2) or well-known celebrities (Ronaldo is third on the list).
If you look into most people followed on Instagram, you will see all most people are celebrities or socialites.
For someone who is not a singer, actor, athlete, or popular figure is not easy to build a huge following.
Interestingly, on TikTok, the mist followed person is Khaybe Lame, who was just a factory laborer 2-3 years ago. So, technically speaking it is possible to become an influencer and make a lot of money.
