Oral Hygiene Prevents Oral Diseases and Cancers.

Oral health has become one of the main health problems across the world. However, for the majority of the population, oral health is not part of their immediate priorities. At present, dental caries currently affect eighty seven percent of the population, that is, nine out of ten people, mainly adults.

The main oral health disorders are dental caries, periodontal diseases, oral cancers, and oral manifestations of HIV, oral trauma, cleft lip and palate. Specialists point out that correct oral hygiene is essential to prevent diseases, for which, dental alignment treatments have become increasingly simple and easy to get for all.

Among the small habits that can be changed without much effort relate to effective oral hygiene. Dentists recommend brushing your teeth for two to three minutes after every meal, using a soft-bristled brush and changing it every three months, placing it at a 45-degree angle where your teeth and gums meet.

A dentist explains that bad habits and lack of checkup with the dentist can also worsen the situation of the mouth. In addition, the bad position of the teeth is not only an aesthetic problem: it can lead to the accumulation of tartar and this, in turn, to periodontal or gum disease.
