Recent Crackdown on Prop Firms in Forex Trading?

Recently there has been a lot of crack downs of forex brokers that are working with proprietary firms, it started with My Forex Funds and CFTC, they shut down the business and released a statement alleging the suspect with racketeering clients funds and taking the opposite of their trades.

Not up to a week a go, Meta Trader have delists a lot of prop firms broker, even though the companies are trying to get back up and finding other alternatives to serve their clients, what do you think is the reason for all of this scrutiny and harshness towards the prop industry

One possible reason for this increased scrutiny and harshness towards the prop industry could be the rise in fraudulent activities and unethical practices within the industry.
