We don't have to own/rent a shop to start a business, we can also start by opening a business on the side of the road or becoming a street vendor. We can easily find street vendors, who generally only spread out mats or use small tables and some also use large umbrellas to protect them from the sun. Roadside businesses will be very suitable for those of us who have limited capital and locations that are busy with lots of people so there is no need to spend promotional costs for your business.

What products should be sold on the roadside
Business people must think in advance about the products they will sell on street vendors, especially products that are light, easy to pack and easy to transport, especially during rain or bad weather. Roadside businesses can also be carried out at night or in the morning. Here are some product ideas that are suitable for sale on the side of the road, such as: food, soft drinks, sports shoes, watches, socks, t-shirts, hats, belts, etc.

Roadside business ideas are all established almost every way and almost in every traffic and bus stop in Nigeria. However not every kind of business can be successful on the roadside but rather businesses that can be successful on the roadside include businesses that sell snacks confectioneries and possibly children toys and wears. Establishing a business on the above category can be a good and profitable business idea. However you must consider the pros and cons in establishing a road sign business. The major pros in roadside business establishment is that it helps you interact more freely with your customers and client however the major cons is that it is always a subject to root accidents.

Roadside businesses help people to get their entrepreneurial minds running regardless of the limitations they might face in getting money to rent a shop. Some of the roadside businesses that thrive very well are vulcanising, sales of auto lubricants, grilled food businesses, sales of fruits etc.
