We all know how important SEO optimization is for a better ranking of the website. Therefore, it is obvious that all the websites on the Internet seek to obtain a higher ranking, and those websites that already have a top ranking, seek to maintain their existing position. The reason behind this behavior is that a high ranking increases the profitability of the business because a top ranking brings a higher number of visitors, implicitly, a higher number of potential customers.

Therefore, this article discusses the different types of strategies for better site optimization on search engines. A strategy is a designed plan that must be followed over a period of time to achieve a desired result. In the same way, search engine optimization (SEO) and site promotion must follow a strategy for a certain period of time.

Offensive Strategies: When we talk about SEO strategies, this type first comes to mind because it is the most common SEO strategy that is used by companies to lift the website from its current position. At the same time, it is the most expensive type of SEO strategy and involves the risk of being reported as negative SEO, in this case, if certain time intervals are not observed.

Defensive Strategies: Opposite to offensive strategies, there are always defensive strategies. These are designed to protect an already achieved ranking by creating certain barriers that do not allow other competing websites to gain the current position of the intended website. For example, if the website has reached a Page Rank 7, it is less likely that other websites will try to challenge it to take over its position.

Hidden strategies: These types of strategies have an extremely interesting form and involve the creation of a false impression for competitors, namely that your website does not pose a real threat to them. This saves time for setting up the website, making it too late for other competitors to take action against them when they become aware of the actual purpose of the intended website. For example, one can launch the social network of the website in a certain niche, but without focusing on the critical aspects until a certain moment, thus obtaining certain hidden advantages.

Guerrilla Strategies:
These strategies involve launching a large number of new small websites designed for certain keywords that redirect to the main website through certain links. This tactic involves the existence of an extremely skilled SEO professional so that others do not notice similarities between these websites, thus discovering that it is about the same business.

SEO Intimidation Strategies: These strategies are not recommended, do not have a high impact and have a negative substrate as they involve intimidating competitors to leave you out of their spheres of interest.
