Please tell in detail about those softwares...few names, how and from where to install them, how that works, what's the minimum payout, ways to cash out etc. There might be some shortcomings with installing these softwares. They might be taking away a lot of space of the devices, might be interfering with speed and functioning of the devices. Some of these apps and software take a lot of data and space. And they might not be worth for the little pay one gets.

Well, getting a book published has always been a dream for me. But then we have to get up from the dream and work towards getting it realised. I have not done that yet. But we never know what future holds for us.
You have mentioned a few skills that are pretty important to be acquired. I should get into learning them if I ever plan to get a book published.
I have read of people making money from getting published on Amazon Kindle. But it's not been a success story for everyone who has got it published there. Some books made a real success while others could not maje any sale and just remained there in the database only. It seems that writing a good book is not good enough to get success and earn. One needs to learn a lot about marketing and promoting the book. So, that would be another skill to acquire and equal effort has to go there.

@Chibson. I agree with every word that you have said there. A lot of hesitations are there before we start anything. There is a lot of research and thoughtful analysis that we have to do before we could take any decision and step forward. While that's a right thing to do, sometimes we go overboard and overdo it. That's called analysis paralysis. We overanalyze things and create so much of fear and hesitations that it gets delayed or it never happens.
I totally agree with you that we need to get prepared and learn enough before venturing into any such thing. We keep learning as we grow there and get experience.
Consistency is something that I have to really work on. I am lacking a lot on this front when it comes to online earnings. I did start with my own blog and couldn't be consistent there. Even with the forum sites that I have at hand, I fail to do justice to them. I need to get better with time management. I can't use time constraints as an excuse always.
