The Benefit of Being a Receptionist

Even if you have a degree or even multiple degrees, it can be difficult to get that first job out of college. Many people are stuck in the "real world" with very little experience and few contacts. But there's a way to overcome this problem.

You can start by getting a receptionist job. You may have to take a pay cut from what you might otherwise make, but you will be able to hone your administrative skills and develop key contacts in the field. Your resume will show that you are a go-getter, willing to take on a challenge, and don't mind working hard for your paycheck. And once you've been at this job for awhile, you'll be able to use your connections and experience to get the job you really want.
