When starting a small company, you face many challenges. The first challenge is finding investors. Investors want to see that your company has potential for growth and success. By starting up with a small amount of money, you may not be able to meet their expectations or show them what they need to see in order to invest in your business.

Another challenge is hiring employees. If you're going to hire employees for your company, you'll need to make sure that they are qualified for the positions and that they have the right qualifications for the jobs they will be doing. This can be challenging because many employees who are qualified may not want to work at a small company where they aren't guaranteed any benefits or even minimum wage (depending on where you live).

It's also hard when trying to find vendors who are willing to work with smaller companies like yours, they may not want anything more than just one big client instead of several small ones like yours.

You are right . Starting a small business used to be very challenging because there are series of obstacles on the way.
In the first place the major challenge may likely be the problem of entering market.
This issue used to be serious because those company that had already has their product in the market will be strongly fighting the newly coming up company so that they will not disturb their own sales or compete with them in any ways.
Perhaps before customers will be getting use to the newly produce product in the market used to be difficult at times .
The location of the company may also contributed to the success or failure of the company and many times the investors don't look at that before they start the business. Some times its very good to make a findings about the business before going for it because its will help some one to know how to manage the business in such a way that the business will yield good profit at the end.

Starting a small company can be very challenging. There are so many things to think about – from the initial planning stages to marketing and sales, and everything in between. It can be difficult to know where to start, or even where to turn for help. One of the biggest challenges facing small businesses is cash flow. It can be difficult to keep up with expenses when sales are slow, and this is often the reason why small businesses fail. Other challenges include attracting and retaining customers, competing with larger businesses, and managing growth.
