Reproduction is all about reproducing the offsprings and the these often happen in the life span of animals and human beings. As a matter of fact, this is what makes the world go round, whiteout this, the existence of men and animals would have ended a long time ago.

Now if we are speaking of reproductive system, this simply means the process at which it works and also the organs that it involves in order to make it a success.

These are some functions of the reproductive system as a whole.

It produces sperm cells
It helps in giving birth to the offsprings

It produces sperm cells: In biology, there is something called sperm, this is what turns to blood then from there it turns to flesh and result to full body infant. It can’t work alone as it will need to go through some process with the womb which is found in women’s body, while the sperm from men’s body will combine with it to make a baby.

It helps in life’s continuity: Normally, there is no way to bring a baby to life with the function of reproduction. It is what make it work to be able to give birth to offsprings which bring about the continuity of life.

The reproductive system consists of several organs, including the following:

-the ovaries, the female gonads that produce ova

-the uterus, the hollow, pear-shaped organ that receives a fertilized egg and provides a nurturing environment for it to grow in

-the vagina, the elastic canal that connects the external genitals to the cervix and is used for intercourse and childbirth

The reproductive system has many functions. It is responsible for producing gametes (sperm and eggs), sex hormones, and secondary sexual characteristics. The reproductive system also has an immunologic function; it produces antibodies that fight off infections.

What you've said is ideal, when it comes to human reproduction and animal reproductive system. It is believed that animals mate each other before fertilization takes place, while in humans, it is called sexual intercose, which endures the man and woman is present. Without reproduction humans and animal wouldn't be in existence, since death is present, the first man and woman could've ended without real offspring. And for fertilization to take place, the sperm count must be up to the required level for it to fertilize a woman, of not, it is simply impotent.
