This led to unemployment of temporary or permanent nature in travel and tourism as well as retail. Also, this propelled the remote working culture that increased demand for digital skills. The new industries that emerged are e-commerce, healthcare and essential services. It also revealed the importance of resilience and adaptability; besides; like digital literacy and remote collaboration became necessary skills. In response to economic downturns which threaten people’s jobs, governments instituted some support programs like unemployment benefits and furlough schemes. While small businesses have closed down and faced financial hardships leading various entrepreneurs to venture into entrepreneurship activities. This global labor mobility along with the travel restrictions and lockdowns enabled the practice of remote work across borders. With an increase in mental health awareness among employees, this led to more emphasis on well-being programs for workers plus flexible work arrangements were put in place. Countries and regions had different rates of economic recovery with hybrid work models affecting office space needs plus commuting patterns changing too. After COVID-19 individuals need to be adaptable continuously learning while searching for employment opportunities.
