These are demographic diversity, cognitive diversity, global diversity, representation, equity & inclusion, creating welcoming culture. Foster inclusive workplace practices include open communication, collaboration, training opportunities for all staff members, flexible policies, commitment of leadership, feedback mechanisms that work effectively in the organization like addressing unconscious biases among employees in a company; employee resource groups and accountability.

Some of the benefits that accrue from D&I are increased creativity, improved decision-making process, enhanced employee engagement levels,a broader pool of talents,better customer understanding services,cultural competency towards customers’ needs as well as legal compliance,a reduced turnover rate compared to the previous years while absenteeism is limited,and better understanding of an organization’s mission and values. Organizations can create a more inclusive and efficient work environment by having a diversified workforce which results in higher levels of creativity leading to increase innovation as well as improve customer relationships.

Diversity and the inclusion of all members of society in a particular organization are very important in promoting positive and flourishing organizational culture. These promote the generation of new ideas that foster better decision-making, attract and retain talent, mirror the customer base, improve employee engagement, reduce unconscious bias, ensure compliance with legal requirements, enhance global competitiveness, encourage social responsibility and support good welfare for employees. Inclusive leadership starts from the top whereas diverse talent pools recruit and keep talent at the highest level.
