Firstly let me talk about abolition movement.
When we talk about abolition movement,it was a campaign to free American blacks from slavery. The world abolition comes from a Polish which means to "get rid of".
The first set of slaves in United States of America were black Africans who are life dear in the 1600s,the white European settlers then put them to work on plantations,in their homes or in mines .
Most of the slaves owner did not see their slaves as human being with rights and feelings instead of that they treated them like this goods.
Later on in the 17th century some groups argued that slavery was wrong and should be abolished many Americans agreed with that opinion so therefore they pressed the government to abolish slavery it wasn't easy though, it was a very long fight but by 1804 slavery was banned in many Northern States and by 1808 it became illegal to import slaves to the United States of America though slaves and their children renamed slaves.
The matter later caused the war between the North and South, the southern part voted for slavery why the northern part voted against it. That was what caused the war but in April 1865 the civil war ended in a victory for the world and later that year the 13th amendment to the constitution made slavery illegal in the United States of America.
