The term "shares" refers to the percentage of capital held by small or big investors in a company. Just like cryptocurrencies, shares are quite volatile in nature and they may rise in price or decline in value at any time. There has been a lots of comparison between shares and cryptocurrencies, both of these assets have been one of the most interesting aspects of investments. Before the creation of cryptocurrencies, many people used to invest in stock market. However, when the cryptocurrencies were launched, many people diverted their attention to cryptocurrencies. Many people state that since cryptocurrencies are basically not backed up by any government, state, or any governmental authority, it has not intrinsic worth or value. However, I was reading an article where it was mentioned that in reality even the shares and fiat currencies also do not have any kind of intrinsic value because we may never know when the price of a fiat currency may fall. I remember that in the year 2012 or 2013, the government of Cyprus suffered from severe economical crisis rendering the fiat currency "useless". We may also say the same thing about shares when the stock market fell during the Covid-19 pandemic and 2008 global crisis. So, do fiat currencies and Shares have an intrinsic value unlike cryptocurrencies?
