Using check to pay is the fatest way to get into debt. As simple as that many merchant or ordinary people choose to pay with check while their bank account is with insuffisant funds to cover up the operation.
You are not required to make a purchase with check if your bank account is empty. Try to not use a check for paying your new purchases because if you are not sure that there is upcoming funds, just you could delay the expenses.
For example, you think that the person that has purchased marchandise and will pay you today doesn't have full amount of money to pay out his debt and this will lead you to get in debt with bank and getting new loans to pay old ones, so purchase only with the available funds on your bank account and doesn't gamble in this kind of situations.
