Division of labour is indeed very effective in any business organization, but many business owners do not go for division of labour because they feel it would actually cause more. Lets take for example a photo editing company can easily pay a single person $500 and that person would be an editor, printer and as well the one who attends to customers. To them they have been able to reduce cost. But what they have actually succeeded in doing is over work this single person. With time, this particular person would not be able to put in his very best in each department he is dealing with, hence a decline in performance.
