What can service providers claim after the participant's death?

  • Service providers can claim for reasonable and necessary supports bought before the participant dies as per their service agreement.
  • The claim should be made within 90 days after the participant's death.
  • If funding was managed by a plan manager:
    • The plan manager must claim any funds for supports purchased before the death of the participant..
    • Plan managers can also claim their fee for managing the plan for the month of the participant's death if it's specified in their service agreement.
