This is actually a confusing question because until recently I like alot of people use to think that they are pretty much the same thing. The truth us that they are very much similar and almost completely identical but there is a difference between the two of them. An investment and a business is similar in the sense that they are both ventures that you commit some amount of money in the hope that you would get a bigger feedback monetary or you would receive a profit or benefit. The major difference between them is that a business is an active venture in the sense that you have to dedicate alot of time, effort and energy to produce your required profit or benefits while an in an investment you pretty much dont have to dedicate much of your time and energy to it to produce your profits or benefits.
