Doctors and other health workers sometimes prescribe injections when they are not needed. After all, they can charge more money for injections. They forget the problems and dangers of giving them in rural areas.

1. If a health workers or healer wants to give you an injection, be sure the medicine is appropriate and that he takes all the necessary precautions.
Sometimes in many hospital there are some nurses that used to be too aggressive and when the doctor give them the injection to go and give Mr A they will not even ask for that particular Mr A again but they will rather give it to Mr B that they are not suppose to give and that will cause another problem or even leads to death of the patient.
Please open your eye very well whenever they want to inject you and check the name one the injection very well if possible.

2. If a doctor prescribes injections, explain that you live where no one is well- trained to give injections and ask if it would be possible to prescribe a medicine to take by mouth.

3. If a doctor wants to prescribe injections of vitamins, liver extract, or vitamin B¹² but has not had your blood tested, tell him you would prefer to see another doctor.

What will you do when you are in this situation if at all?

The problem is that a patient may not be able to know the appropriate drugs that they themselves has to take , then how will they know it when a nurses mistakenly prescribe a wrong drug.. if we really know the type of drugs that we are to be taken then obviously a lot of people won't always need the services of a doctor because they can easily cures any infection or disease on their own...

Nurses nowadays are really careful that they don't repeat this mistake.. in the hospital every patient is entitled to have a file and the doctor will write out the drugs that are to be given to each patient on daily basis with your name written on it , it is the responsibility of a nurse to comes into a patient's room to ask who's name is written on the file , with this they are likely to give correct prescription of drug... nurses taking the drugs of mr. A to prescribe it to me. B rarely happened in today's medical setting..

A doctor may be able to know if we are to take injection or not and this will be determined by what it is to be treated.. A patient should not reject it.

When a doctor prescribes injection, you can simply get it there at the hospital, there should be a pharmacy where you can buy the drugs prescribe by the doctor at the hospital and definitely trained nurses. If it's a case where you buy the drugs from an external place, seek the help of an health worker to help you take the injection. Not just any health worker but someone who has experience in giving out injection, many people assume any health worker can easily give injection.
